Danny DeVito - de nome completo Daniel Michael DeVito, Jr., nascido em Asbury Park, a 17 de Novembro de 1944 - é um actor, humorista, cineasta e produtor norte-americano, descendente de italianos. Alcançou a fama com o papel de Louie De Palma na série Taxi, produzida entre 1978 e 1983, pelo qual venceu um Globo de Ouro e um Emmy do Primetime.
A partir desta série, DeVito destacou-s em diversos filmes de Hollywood, entre eles "Laços de Ternura" ("Terms of Endearment"), "Em Busca da Esmeralda Perdida" ("Romancing the Stone"), "A Jóia do Nilo" ("The Jewel of the Nile"), além de "Gémeos" ("Twins") e o filme "Batman Regressa" ("Batman Returns"), no qual interpretou o Pinguim.
É casado com a também actriz Rhea Perlman, com quem contracenou na série "Taxi". O actor e a sua esposa conheceram-se em 1970 quando ela foi assistir a uma peça de teatro, na Broadway, onde DeVito participava. Tornaram-se amigos e começaram depois a namorar. Oficializaram a relação em 1982. O casal tem três filhos.
