Bruce MacLeish Dern - nascido em Chicago (Illinois), a 4 de Junho de 1936 - é um actor norte-americano nomeado para o Óscar em 1978 pela sua actuação no filme "O Regresso dos Heróis"("Coming Home") e em 2013 pelo seu desempenho em "Nebraska". Também foi premiado com o Urso de Prata em 1982 pela sua actuação no filme "Reencontro de Campeões" ("That Championship Season"). Ficou famoso nos anos 60, 70 e 80 como protagonista de diversos filmes e séries do gênero western.
Possui uma estrela no Passeio da Fama para "Estrelas do Oeste". Bruce Dern ganhou a sua estrela em 2003, logo após o lançamento de "Hard Ground", filme para televisão, onde voltou a interpretar uma personagem do velho oeste americano, o xerife Huych Hutchinson.
Bruce é pai da também actriz Laura Dern, fruto do seu relacionamento com a também actriz Diane Ladd.
